The Church of St Michael’s was built in 1829, making it the oldest Catholic Church in the Diocese of Argyll and the Isles in continuous use. The sanctuary has recently been re-configured according to a design by Neil MacDonald and built by Neil MacIntyre, both parishioners of Ardkenneth. A new altar has been added – designed and built by Neil MacDonald with panels designed and built by Jarlath Fenton, North Uist.
