Eigg

St Donnan was a Celtic monk who preached the Gospel to the Picts living in the northwest of Scotland. He established a monastery on Eigg where, along with 53 other monks, he was martyred by pirates in 617. It is  good to see that the small community of Catholics are continuing to witness to Christ as people have done on Eigg for over 1,400 years.

I pray that St Donnan’s example will inspire us all to a life of deeper prayer and evangelisation.
