The Lord never leaves us alone.
Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,
I began the weekend by celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation in St Mun’s, Dunoon and on Sunday I did likewise in our Cathedral. The Gospels revealed that the Risen Lord, having conquered the power of sin and death, commissioned his disciples to spread this Good News. The Spirit would transform these weak disciples and so the ministry of Jesus would continue. This weekend I rejoiced that our young people were filled with this same Spirit – and that you have been too! The Lord never leaves us alone. The Spirit’s presence allows us to continue Jesus’ ministry right down to the present day.

We live in difficult times. We need the hope, peace, and transformation that can only come from accepting God’s loving presence. If we trust that the Spirit is still among us, renewing us then there is nothing to fear.
Over the next three months, I will be visiting every parish in our diocese. I look forward to worshiping with you and seeing the diverse signs that the Spirit continues to renew our diocese, parishes, and individual disciples.
I wish you a fruitful Easter Season,
+Brian
