I realise that I wrote a lot about my recent Ad Limina visit to Rome but very little about the meeting with Pope Francis!
Synthesis of Synodal Process in Scotland
12 August 2022
Dear sisters and brothers,
I am pleased to share with you the National Synthesis which has been sent to Rome by the Bishops’ Conference. It brings together the submissions of all eight Scottish dioceses as well as a number of other groups within our country. It is interesting that many of the points submitted by our own diocese were also raised by the other dioceses too. Our national submission will now form part of a larger European document for further prayerful reflection. I thank everyone who has contributed in any way to the process so far. I am confident that the Spirit will guide us in our discernment.
Mary, Mother of the Church pray for us.
