Diocesan Safeguarding Training
Throughout our diocese of Argyll and the Isles priests, religious and lay faithful are continuing the ministry of Jesus. I am very grateful that so much good is happening. Furthermore, I am pleased that our diocese is continuing to deepen a culture of Safeguarding. All of our activities must have the Gospel value of care at its centre. This is why it is mandatory for everyone who participates in any ministry with minors or vulnerable adults to receive training. I am very grateful to our Diocesan trainers and that their number has recently increased from 2 to 8. This will ensure that training is more easily accessible across the entire diocese. This morning I joined parishioners receiving training in St Andrew’s, Rothesay during my pastoral visit.
