FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI

Corpus Christi

This Sunday we celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Jesus. The Eucharist is at the heart of our Catholic Faith, and we give thanks to the Good Lord for his constant nourishment of us. It pains us that we cannot physically be present at Mass for the Solemnity, but we know that the graces of Jesus will still flow into our hearts. The temporary closure of our Churches and cessation of public Masses do not display a lack of faith but, in this unprecedented time, are a sacrificial act of love which we make for the safety of others, especially the most vulnerable. You will be glad to know that preparations are well under way for the safe reopening of our Churches.

I encourage you to participate in one of the Sunday online Masses being offered. As usual I will celebrate Mass in my Oratory at 10 am which will be followed by 15 minutes of Eucharistic Adoration.

I look forward to being with you again in your parishes for the celebration of the Eucharistwhen it is possible to do so. In the meantime please know that I remember you daily in my prayers before the Blessed Sacrament. May the Lord abundantly bless you and your families,

+Brian
