Christmas greetings from Bishop Brian

Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,
Happy Christmas! Today we celebrate the wondrous birth of Jesus, our Saviour. God has taken on our nature to make us like him! What boundless love and mercy that is freely given to us.
We are living through difficult times, and we cannot pretend otherwise. Christmas however shows that the light of Christ always overcomes darkness. We are not alone because – Emmanuel – God is with us.
Your houses and churches will be adorned with cribs. Cribs are not just another Christmas decoration, but a window into God’s love. I invite you to pause for a few minutes each day and just look into your crib scene. You don’t have to say anything, just look and God will draw you into the Nativity’s wonder, revealing what he wants you to know and experience.
I wish you and your families a most blessed Christmas.
