Cessation of Bishop Brian’s online Masses
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The last 14 months have been very difficult for everyone and this was heightened by the understandable restrictions on attending our Churches for Mass. Offering Mass online was something I never thought I would do but I know that being able to participate in worship brought you comfort and hope during some dark times. It helped me too. Although praying online can never be the same as being present physically many from across the diocese and beyond found it supportive and this was a grace from God.
However, since the general situation has greatly improved I have decided that this Saturday, 24th April (tomorrow), will be my final online Mass. I encourage those who are able to return to Mass in their parishes and for those who cannot there are still online options available. I look forward to celebrating Mass in your parishes again before too long.
