Bishop’s Pastoral Letter and Statement
Dear brothers and sisters,
It is with a sorry heart that I inform you that after tomorrow, Thursday 19th March, Solemnity of St Joseph, the celebration of Mass in public will be suspended throughout our diocese until further notice. Our priests will continue to celebrate Mass in private and a number of them are organising to do so by live-streaming. This will enable you to participate in Mass, to the extent now feasible. Our Churches will also remain open for private prayer. Priests will still bring the Sacraments to the sick and be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation on request. These are challenging times so let us turn to the Lord with renewed intercession and love. Let us also look after each other. Please read the full Letter and Statement from the Bishops’ Conference.
