Bishop Brian confirmed five young parishioners in St Mary’s, Benbecula.

Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,
Congratulations to the five young parishioners who were confirmed last night in St Mary’s, Benbecula. During a prayerful ceremony, the boys explained that they had been inspired by the lives of the saints whose names they had chosen: Padre Pio who shared in the wounds of Christ through the stigmata; Paul who was a great missionary and writer; Anthony who cared for the poor and the sick; Patrick who brought the Good News to Ireland and Francis who deeply loved God’s Creation, particularly the poor.
May we be inspired by what the saints allowed the Holy Spirit to do through them, and may we too be inspirational disciples to others today.
