Ash Wednesday Message from Bishop Brian

Today’s reading from the prophet Joel is very touching. He encourages everyone – adults, children, newly married, priests and even babies – to turn back to the Lord. Notice that he doesn’t mention any sins by name – simply that we must turn to the Lord. Isn’t that a beautiful image – people gathering together to turn to the Lord? I pray that as the ashes are placed on our heads today countless hearts will turn to the Lord.
