Annual Safeguarding Audit

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today is the final day for submitting the Parish Safeguarding Audits. I am delighted to inform you that, once again, every parish in Argyll and the Isles has completed this process on time. The Audit’s purpose is not simply to gather facts but to demonstrate that the Church is taking Safeguarding seriously, as well as encouraging reflection on our strengths and identifying where we can improve. Protecting the vulnerable is integral to Christianity. As bishop, I sincerely thank our clergy, Parish Safeguarding Co-ordinators, parish volunteers, Diocesan Teams, and Office Staff for all that they are doing to develop a culture of life and safeguarding throughout our diocese.
