The first diocese in Scotland to have DSAG trained for In God’s Image.

On Monday Argyll and the Isles became the first diocese in Scotland to have its Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Group (DSAG) trained for In God’s Image. DSAG’s members come from various ministries within our diocese which work with children and vulnerable adults. Their remit includes advising the bishop regarding safeguarding issues, organising training across the diocese, responding to any issues arising from the annual audit and ensuring that all Diocesan groups both keep the present national safeguarding standards and implement any new developments. The training was given by Tina Campbell, the National Safeguarding Coordinator. The DSAG team meets four times a year. Keeping the vulnerable safe is a core Gospel value and Bishop Brian thanks the DSAG team and all those involved with Safeguarding across the entire diocese.
