This version of the Stations of the Cross was produced by the late Canon Galbraith.
This is a selection of the resource books that are used or have been used by Gaelic speaking Catholic communities in their prayer and liturgical life.
GAELIC COMMON PRAYERS
These are some of the common prayers that are well known in the Gaelic speaking communities everywhere. They are among the prayers that are said most frequently by Catholics:
Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be, Act of Faith, Act of Hope, Act of Love, Morning Offering, Apostles’ Creed, Act of Contrition (long and short), Hail Holy Queen, We fly to thy patronage, Memorare.
The Rosary has been one of the most popular forms of devotion among the Catholics of the Western Isles of Scotland throughout the ages and it still is. It is a prayer that is said very often both publicly and privately.
