					  <title><![CDATA[Celebrating Our Lady of the Isles]]></title>

					  <description><![CDATA[<div style="text-align: justify;">The Statue of Our Lady of the Isles, Rueval, South Uist, was consecrated on the Feast of the Assumption, August 15th, 1958, by Rt Rev Kenneth Grant, Bishop of Argyll and the Isles. To mark the 50th anniversary of the consecration, Mass will be celebrated at the Statue by Rt Rev Ian Murray, present Bishop of the Diocese, along with the clergy, on Sunday, 17th August, at 3pm. The Mass will be followed by a light reception at Eochar School. All are welcome to take part in this pilgrimage.<br/><br/></div>]]></description>

<p align="justify">The first Sunday of July each year is the occasion of the Annual Pilgrimage to Scalan, in the Braes of Glenlivet.&nbsp;The purpose of the pilgrimage, organised by the <a href="http://www.scalan.co.uk">Scalan Association</a>, is to remember the past and to pray for the future.&nbsp;This year some 100 pilgrims from various parts of Scotland gathered for the celebration of Mass at the historic site. The homily was preached by Canon Donald MacKay, Administrator of <a href="http://www.rcdai.org.uk/pages/Cathedral">St. Columba's Cathedral, Oban</a>.</p>]]></description>

May he rest in peace.<br/><br/>Fr.&nbsp;Murphy had been seriously ill for some months and died peacefully at home in Caol where he had been living in retirement. His Funeral Mass&nbsp;will&nbsp;take place&nbsp;at St. Margaret's, Roy Bridge on Thursday 12 June at 12 noon.]]></description>
