Craig Lodge Family House of Prayer

 Who We Are
The Family House of Prayer in Dalmally is a retreat centre run by Craig Lodge Community. Members of the Community are committed to a life rooted in prayer, service and evangelization.  Some of us, usually aged between 18-30, come and stay at Craig Lodge for a year.  We use this time to discern our vocation, or just to grow in our faith.  Our daily life includes the Eucharist, Adoration, Scripture, Divine Office and the Rosary.  Some of us are families or single people who have chosen to live near Craig Lodge and join in the daily prayer life as work and family commitments allow.  Together we look after the guests who come and stay with us. craig lodge.jpg

A dramatised Rosary is always a highlight of our Family Retreats

2016 Retreats
We have a full and varied retreat programme of directed retreats covering subjects such as Healing, Scripture, the Saints and Divine Mercy.  We also welcome anyone who wants to come and stay for a quiet prayerful break.  We love having families to stay!  Every year we run four Family Retreat Weeks/Weekends with a programme of activities, talks, daily mass and prayer times tailored to suit families.

Details of all our retreats can be viewed here:

A Year for God
Aged between 18-30 and ready for a year that will transform your life?
We offer up to 10 young people at a time the chance to experience a year of Community life – prayer, service, evangelisation, healing, formation and fellowship.  This spiritual gap year is often a life-changing experience for young people.  You can find out more here:

2.Adoration of the Eucharist is a part of daily life at Craig Lodge and the retreats they run.jpg

Adoration is a key part of our Community life and all our retreats

"The Lord has taken the initiative, he has loved us first (cf. 1 Jn 4:19), and therefore we can move forward, boldly take the initiative, go out to others, seek those who have fallen away, stand at the crossroads and welcome the outcast. Such a community has an endless desire to show mercy, the fruit of its own experience of the power of the Father’s infinite mercy.”  Pope Francis, Evangelli Gaudium

Youth Work

We also love welcoming young people to Craig Lodge.  We run several youth events each year including our popular Easter Triduum and Advent retreats. Alongside this, we support the work of our Diocesan Youth Officer, visiting schools and organising the annual youth pilgrimage to Iona.
