On 30th May David Connor was ordained deacon by Rt. Rev. Bishop Joseph Toal at St. Patrick's College, Maynooth. David, from St. Mun's Parish, Dunoon, began his studies for the priesthood at Scotus College in Glasgow before transferring to Maynooth in 2009.

Members of David's family and friends from various parts of Scotland, including several priests from the Diocese of Argyll & the Isles, were present at the Mass of Ordination .
During the summer David will join young people from South Uist on a pilgrimage to Lourdes and spend time in St. Mary's Fort William before returning to Maynooth for his final year of study and pastoral formation.
