SCIAF Ambassador for the Diocese of Argyll and the Isles Marian Pallister (marian.pallister@zen.co.uk) asks us to remember that SCIAF, like puppies at Christmas, is not just for Lent but for life.

SCIAF is changing

SCIAF is moving with the times and has become a major player on the international scene. With climate change affecting poorer nations perhaps more directly that the wealthy countries, SCIAF is now a respected mover and shaker – persuading the Scottish Parliament to make ground-breaking legislation to combat climate change, negotiating with the UN in New York and campaigning ceaselessly to influence outcomes at political summits where climate change is on the agenda.

YOUR generosity, YOUR postcards, YOUR meetings with MSPs and MPs, YOUR presence at events like The Wave in Glasgow on December 5 make it possible for SCIAF to carry out this vital role.

If you would like me to come to your parish to tell you more about SCIAF’s work, please email me. The climate is changing. SCIAF is changing – Will YOU come with us?
